2026 ජූලි 26 වන දින සිට ක්රියාත්මක වන පරිදි, සංචාරක කටයුතු සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකාව වෙත යාමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන සියලුම සුදුසුකම් ලත් සංචාරකයින් ශ්රී ලංකාව වෙත යාමට පෙර විද්යුත් සංචාරක අවසරය (ETA) ලබා ගත යුතුය.
ජපානය ඇතුළු සුදුසුකම් ලත් රටවල් 40 ක ජාතිකයින්ට දින 30 ක විද්යුත් සංචාරක අවසරපත (ETA) නොමිලේ ලබා ගත හැකි අතර, රටට පැමිණීමට පෙර ETA මාර්ගගත අවසරය ලබා ගැනීම අනිවාර්ය වේ.

RESIDENCE VISA
The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
To obtain a residence visa for Sri Lanka, applicants must first enter Sri Lanka on an entry visa issued by a Sri Lankan diplomatic mission abroad.
An entry visa can only be issued after approval is granted by the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration (CG, I&E), Sri Lanka. The relevant organization, institution, NGO, or company in Sri Lanka must submit the Residence Visa application directly to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration on behalf of the applicant. Once the application is approved, the Department of Immigration and Emigration will authorize the embassy to issue the entry visa.
Documents required:
- Completed Entry Visa Application Form
- A copy of the Entry Visa Approval Notice issued by the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Sri Lanka
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs
- Original passport (valid for at least six months beyond the intended date of entry into Sri Lanka)

Processing time: 1–2 business days, provided that the Entry Visa Approval Notice issued by the Department of Immigration and Emigration is available.
Important: - A Tourist Visa cannot be converted into a Residence Visa after arrival in Sri Lanka.- For further information regarding Residence Visas, please visit the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka at https://www.immigration.gov.lk. - If the passport on which the visa or ETA was issued expires before the visa's validity period, the applicant should submit the new passport to the Embassy for the transfer or re-issuance of the ETA. This service is provided free of charge.
