The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Sri Lanka Human Resources Promotion Programme – Japan 2026, held across Tokyo, Saitama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Chiba.
The overwhelming response from the Japanese business community was truly encouraging, with seminar halls filled to capacity at every venue. The strong interest demonstrated by Japanese companies to recruit Sri Lankan talent reflects the growing recognition of Sri Lanka as a reliable source of skilled and dedicated human resources.
The programme provided an excellent platform to showcase Sri Lanka's workforce potential while promoting the country as a trusted partner in addressing Japan's human resource needs.
A major highlight was the B2B networking sessions, where 23 Sri Lankan sending organizations connected with over 250 Japanese companies, opening new pathways for recruitment partnerships.
As the first nationwide human resources promotion initiative of its kind in Japan, this programme will help promote ethical and legally compliant recruitment, reduce malpractice, and create more safe and rewarding employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Japan.
We sincerely thank all Japanese companies, Sri Lankan sending organizations, partner institutions, and participants for making this initiative a resounding success.
