Strengthening Sri Lanka–Saitama Cooperation in Human Resources
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan was honoured to welcome H.E. Motohiro Ono, Governor of Saitama Prefecture, who graced the Sri Lanka–Japan Human Resources Promotion Seminar held in Saitama.
H.E. Governor Ono delivered remarks at the seminar, highlighting the potential for further cooperation between Saitama Prefecture and Sri Lanka, particularly in addressing human resource needs in sectors such as elderly care and healthcare.
On the occasion, H.E. Prof. Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, and the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) , Mr. Koshala Wickramasinghe held bilateral discussions with H.E. the Governor and officials of the Saitama Prefecural governemnt. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in human resources, expanding employment opportunities for Sri Lankan workers, and further deepening the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Japan.
The Embassy highly appreciates the warm support extended by the Saitama Prefectural Government towards the programme and looks forward to continuing engagement with Saitama Prefecture to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in human resources and employment.
The Embassy also extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Chandika Perera, Executive Secretary of the Sri Lanka Business Council in Japan, for his valuable assistance and coordination with the Saitama Prefectural Government, which greatly facilitated the participation of H.E. the Governor and contributed to the success of this important engagement.
